The Philadelphia Bach Collective presents Bach’s St. John Passion, in collaboration with TENET Vocal Artists.
A pillar of Baroque repertoire, Bach's St. John Passion offers an immediacy of emotional connection and a timeless message. Evangelist, Philadelphia’s own James Reese guides us through the Passion of St. John, recounting the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. A tapestry of soloists offer reflections on the events in the voice of the people, those looking on feeling powerless to the events.
